"Awaken in Wonderland" Show
About Jennie Levesque
In Awaken in Wonderland, artist Jennie Levesque invites us to wander through a world where imagination and reflection intertwine. Inspired by the timeless tale of Alice in Wonderland, this collection reimagines familiar characters and scenes as metaphors for personal growth, societal mirrors, and the cyclical dance between chaos and wonder.
Through painting, fiber art, and upcycled materials, Jennie breathes life into stories that ask us to pause — to reflect, to feel, to see ourselves in the whimsy. Each piece, from The Mirror to The Blue Butterfly, explores transformation, resilience, and the beauty of rediscovering one’s voice amid life’s unpredictable twists.
Rooted in her passion for nature, storytelling, and mindful creation, Jennie’s Wonderland is not an escape from reality — it’s a gentle awakening to the magic already within it.

JENNIE LEVESQUE INSPIRATION
Describe your creative process and how you go about starting and completing a finished piece.
My creative process is intuitive and deeply reflective, a dance between imagination, emotion, and the materials at hand. I begin with a feeling or story that calls to be expressed, often sparked by nature, memory, or a symbolic image.
Working with organic, upcycled, and recycled materials, I allow each piece to evolve naturally, embracing imperfections and unexpected turns. Layer by layer — through paint, fiber, collage, or found objects — I explore themes of transformation, connection, and renewal.
Art, for me, is both meditation and storytelling. It is a space where healing, curiosity, and creativity intertwine, inviting others to see beauty in the overlooked and meaning in the mundane.
What are you most inspired by and how is this reflected in your work?
I am most inspired by the beauty of nature, the resilience of the human spirit, and the quiet stories found in everyday life. My work often weaves these inspirations together through organic textures, upcycled materials, and symbolic imagery — especially animals and elements from the natural world.
Each piece becomes a reflection of transformation and connection, inviting viewers to slow down, look closer, and rediscover wonder in the ordinary. Creating art is, for me, both a healing practice and a form of storytelling a way to express the unseen emotions that live between chaos and calm.
